Early June brought the fun to Akron – with Park Golf, basket raffles, auction items, food and friends! This year’s Park Golf event raised over $23,000 for Home of My Own of WNY on a beautiful day out at the Destroyer Golf Park.
Janet Fisher spearheaded the event and did a fantastic job organizing everything from raffle items, to food, to volunteers and more! Ticket sales were brisk for the 50/50 and basket raffles as well as food and drinks. Everyone secured a spot for their team within the two rounds of golf and participants enjoyed “golfing” the 18-hole course with friends and family. After a shotgun start, the scramble game began and those not golfing ate lunch, had a few beverages, participated in the basket raffle, auction item and gift card raffle.
