Our First Property
Home of My Own of WNY is currently in the process of purchasing our first property at 30 Linwood in Williamsville, NY! The property consists of 3 buildings, with 4 one-bedroom apartments in each, plus a common area space in the basement. This will be the first small step towards our big dream. As you might imagine, this is a big project, and to do it right, we are taking the time necessary to ensure we are doing all we can to execute our plans properly. Stay tuned for updates in the coming months.
In the meantime, interested residents and their families are welcome to complete the potential resident survey. Site plans are being worked on to ensure we are doing all the necessary renovations and creating the best possible layouts for our residents. Additionally, we are still working towards our larger core vision, which is plans for the shared space to encourage learning and socialization for all residents.
Property Development
The Committee continues to research additional sites for a larger Home of My Own apartment community. We are diligently working with developers, lenders, and grant committees to assess properties and opportunities around WNY. We continue to be in touch with developers who have indicated an interest in helping us make our vision a reality. We continue to scour several areas for potential properties.
